We are making great progress with raising the necessary funds for our Vijayawada school book initiative.  25% to goal thus far! Thank you to all who are supporting this initiative by purchasing a pair of the Saahi Flip-flops.  The sooner we reach our goal, the faster the children get their new books.

We're looking at additional initiaitves with our friends in Vijayawada, India as well as other locations in India.  Outside of India we are searching for and evaluating potential factories and footwear manufacturing communities in such places as Eastern Europe, Africa, South America, and even North America.

Got an idea for us? Know of a region that we should consider? Please share!

Good ol' US of A?

Dave,

It may be outside the scope of your mission, but what about sticking close to home for the next initiative? I'm thinking Brockton MA. That's right, the City of Champions just a few miles south of you. Before you discount it, hear me out. During the Civil War, Brockton was America's largest producer of shoes. And champion boxers Rocky Marciano (he kicked Joe Louis' ass) and Marvin Hagler hail from that fair city. What about a flop that commemorates the city's shoe heritage and helps a community project in your own back yard?

Maybe this can be a kickoff for a men's line. I'm thinking about something Marvelous or a Blockbuster...

We're on it!

Thx for the suggestion Aaron.

We're working on an initiative here in the states and hope to have that online soon. Challenge is finding a domestic manufacturer that is still making sandals here, and is willing to work with us. We're closer and hope to have something soon. We'll keep you posted!
