EVA can indeed be recycled. All scraps from the production of flip-flops in the factory we work with in India are recycled. However recycling is a reactive activity. It is not ideal as it assumes the waste has already been created. It is better than doing nothing though. Ideally we would eliminate all materials that are harmful in the first place. That's the ideal though.
