Product?  Check.

Business plan?  Check.

Wacky team of entrepreneurs?  Check.

So you'd think building out this website would be a cinch right? Well, it's a challenge because with all that wacky entrepreneurialism comes a high degree of creativity (READ = OPINION).  Figuring out how we present our product in the best possible manner is tricky.  Being cash-strapped we can't just design what we envision in our heads. We are confined to the tools we can afford (READ = FREE).  But every once in a while we do score - this time via a relative who's a professional photographer!  So at least the product shots we'll have online will look pro.

To the topic of photography, I recently discovered a great website for sourcing photos.  CustomAdArt.com, a new website built on the crowd-sourcing concept is basically the photography version of CrowdSpring.  CustomAdArt.com allows individuals to post a brief for a type of photo(s) being sought, and freelance photographers can then make submissions based on the brief.  I could potentially see using the site someday.

In the picture above, Lisa, our Chief People Person, who recently discovered being a foot model is also in her job description, shows off what it's like to be the center of attention!  What a blast we had taking pictures of our Saahi flip-flop.  All product photos in the online catalog were taken by MJ Maloney and are ©2009 MJ Maloney. Can't wait to share them with you!
