Building on my June 24th post we continue to leverage the wealth of resources that exist online.  The resource I'm learning a good deal about lately is Joomla.  Joomla is a free open source website building platform that we decided to use for the Common Soles website.  Rao had some experience working with Joomla in the past, and free is one of my favorite words so we went for it.

For those of you who have been following us online since we established this site a few months ago have seen it change color, look, and feal several times already.  This is becasue we are still learning how to work with Joomla and are still figuring out how we want our site to look and what we want to be able to do with this site.  Our main obective is to tell the story of Common Soles and what we are up to - which is designing and selling footwear to support community improvement initiatives in footwear factory towns around the world.  We are kicking things off with India as this is where we have our strongest relationships.  We hope to be able to eventually branch out to other regions of the world where footwear is made and be able to bring some good to the workers there as well.

Enough rambling....  We're having fun learning and playing with Joomla.  We want our website to be simple to navigate, clean, fresh looking, and perform well.  We're doing this all in real-time as opposed to behind the scenes so we can integrate feedback from our friends and followers on what they like and don't like about our site.  Thanks for reading and thanks for all the feedback thus far!
