Our Third Initiative

Providing needed funding for the Mashpee Wampanoag Food Pantry

The Mashpee Wampanoag Indians team up with Common Soles

Our third initiative brings us to Cape Cod Massachusetts, where we found the Mashpee Wampanoag Food Pantry in need of funding.  The Food Pantry serves the needs of dozens of members of the Wampanoag Tribe in and around Mashpee, MA. We’ve teamed up with Carol Lopez, (pictured at right) a lifelong resident and tribe-member of the Mashpee Wampanoag to bring you her beautifully crafted quahog shell flip-flop jewelry to fund this initiative.

This is our first initiative that is ongoing, and so we do not have a “to goal” meter.  20% of the selling price from every set purchased funds food provided at the Food Pantry for members of the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribe.

Read more about this initiative and the Quahog shells in a recent blog post.
