Our Second Initiative

A new library and laboratory for an all girls school

Our second initiative brings us back to India where we found the small 10’x10’ library and laboratory in desperate need of repair at an all girls’ school in Purchuru.  This is a no brainer. It’ll cost $500 to fix the roof, supply new school books and lab equipment, and shine the room up. We’re allocating 5% from the sale of every pair of Natya & Aiman flip-flops to fund this initiative.

All contributions are made directly. There is no erosion of contributed funds by a third-party NGO or charity. 5% from every pair sold goes directly to the initiative. Additionally, Common Soles covers all other associated costs.  The administrative costs that we cover include the purchasing of the new supplies, managing the repairs, as well as paying the modest expenses and salaries of our field staff.
